SUMMER HAIR AND VACATION REMEDIES:
As you prepare to craft your workout regime in order to fit into the itty bitty polka dot bikini, here are a few tips to ensure your hair looks its best after months of pool parties and exposure to extreme sunlight.

1. Everyone’s hair has an absorption limit, so before you take a dip in the pool filled with chlorine or step into the salty ocean, wet your hair beforehand. This will prevent the chlorine or salt water from absorbing into your strands and drying out your hair. Rinsing your hair with warm tap water before swimming actually creates a shield for your hair.
2. If you are unable to rinse your hair before swimming, be sure you carry bottled water with you so you can immediately rinse your hair after exposing it to chlorine or salt water.
3. Deep conditioning is most important during the summer months. The sun affects the protein in hair, as well as coloring hair, heat from flat irons, and the pressure from braids and ponytails. Leave-in conditioners are usually protein based, but the build-up without routine cleansings can cause the elasticity to weaken and cause breakage.
